NCC approved the Market Coupling Operator Plan


​National Commission for Energy Control and Prices (NCC) implementing the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management approved the all Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMO) proposal for the Market Coupling Operator Plan (MCO Plan).

All national regulatory authorities reached a unanimous agreement to approve MCO Plan, which sets out how to jointly set up and perform the market coupling operator functions.

At present the MCO Plan will be used by the Nord Pool AS, which was appointment as a Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) in Lithuania on 15 December 2015.
