National Commission for Energy Control and Prices (hereinafter – NCC) in order to harmonize electricity balancing principles in Baltic States and taking into account Baltic Harmonized Imbalance Settlement Model, prepared by Baltic TSOs, launches public consultation on the amendment of NCCs Methodology on Balancing energy price regulation.
These amendments will create a level playing field in electricity balancing market for all market players of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. At the moment each Baltic State has separate principles for balancing energy pricing.
Common balancing market of Baltic States will start operating from January 2018.
